In the summer we have enjoyed concerts in the park, the salmon hatchery, the historic Issaquah downtown and its fun events, including Salmon Days! We could walk. Yay! No parking.

We have enjoyed having one of the best steakhouses in Puget Sound, Jak’s, so closeby. Order the ‘UFO,’ It’s not on the menu but we locals love it. Plus we have our own Issaquah Brewhouse.

Our children have spent a lot of time in the library and community center. They also enjoyed playing with friends on the cul-de-sac so they didn’t need constant rides for play dates. They just played outside all day. It is a very private and low traffic location, yet super convenient to I-90 and Hwy 900.”

In addition to being close to everything Issaquah offers, we are less than a mile from the Park n’ Ride, less than 15 minutes to Bellevue, and 20 minutes to Seattle. I would bike to the Transit Center in minutes. In fact, bikers can bike to Bellevue, Redmond, Mercer Island, Seattle, around Lake Washington…all on trails.”

“The Summerhill neighborhood itself has been a laid back and friendly place. Our HOA has been not too expensive and not obnoxious like some developments we hear about in the area.

The neighborhood has been stable and the people have all been nice to us. We have always gotten waves from neighbors, offers to roll our garbage bins to the street if we were traveling, etc.”

We have really loved our cute back yard and monster deck with cook-pit. We had such great parties! The trees are beautiful, I’ve always waited to see Frodo Baggins walk through our back gate.”
